Satellite Magazine Issue 4 launch party

To celebrate the release of our fourth issue, independent magazine Satellite is throwing a launch party and fundraiser in Lower Manhattan on Thursday, August 27. We'll kick things off at 6:30 with short talks about the relationship between cities and culture. Speakers include: Caron Atlas Director, Arts & Democracy Project Co-director, Naturally Occurring Cultural Districts NY Adam Forman Research and communications associate, Center for an Urban Future Author of Creative New York Edwin Torres Deputy commissioner, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs Sharon Zukin Professor of sociology at Brooklyn College and the CUNY Graduate Center Author of Naked City: The Death and Life of Authentic Urban Places Stick around for music from Brooklyn-based, Colombia-inspired Yotoco at 8:00.
